Island Destinations Hosts Mexico Fam

Oct 31, 2011
Island Destinations brought agents to Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo on Sept. 9-13 for two nights each at Capella Ixtapa and Tides Zihuatanejo, filling each day with a variety of activities that made it a favorite among participants.

“Island Destinations planned every little detail,” said Donna Wolfe of Plaza Travel. “It was the finest quality fam I’ve ever attended. Hats off to Island Destinations.”

Highlights of the trip included spa treatments at each site, fine Mexican dining and cooking and margarita classes hosted by restaurant professionals. The fam also included site inspections of each property and free time for agents to further explore on their own.

In addition, agents were treated to a night of cocktails at the Tides Zihuatanejo’s bonfire beach lounge. Enjoying a true taste of Mexico, agents learned the “proper way” to drink tequila at the Tides’ Master Tequila Tasting event, which introduced tasters to a wide range of tequilas. Island Destinations even arranged for transportation to and from the airport, as well as between locations. According to Wolfe, with time scheduled for relaxation, entertainment and education, agents left feeling highly satisfied with the experience.
