Family-owned Montrose Travel in Montrose, Calif., has reason to celebrate this year as veteran agent Nancy Bland celebrates her 35th year with the company. Bland has seen Montrose grow exponentially over the years from an agency with less than 15 employees to one with more than 150 individuals on staff.
When Bland started at Montrose, she worked in leisure sales which, at that time, was the agency’s sole division. Not long after she started, Bland began organizing group trips for her friends, which eventually led to starting Montrose’s group division.
“Nancy Bland is the consummate travel professional,” said Joe McClure, president of Montrose Travel. “I’ve worked with her for more than 20 years now, and I continue to learn from her daily. Her knowledge and work ethic are to be admired, and her negotiating skills are to be envied. She’s a magnificent person, and Montrose Travel is honored to be called her second home.”
