New GM at Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco

Atkinson

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Cliff Atkinson to general manager of the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco.

A native of the city, Atkinson is a veteran hotelier with more than 15 years of hospitality industry experience. He rejoins Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group after several years as general manager at Ian Schrager’s Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City and Ralph Burnet’s Chambers Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to these positions, during his seven-year career with Mandarin Oriental, Atkinson held a variety of senior management positions, including executive assistant manager at Mandarin Oriental, New York; and corporate director of revenue management and director of revenue management at Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco.

Cliff has the experience, commitment and passion to build on the hotel’s already outstanding reputation as one of the finest luxury hotels in the city,” said Richard Baker, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s executive vice president, northern region, the Americas.
