Larry Pimentel, who has been president and CEO of SeaDream Yacht Club from its 2001 inception, announced his resignation this month. Chairman and owner Atle Brynestad has assumed the position of CEO.
Brynestad founded Seabourn Cruise Line in 1987 and was its chairman for ten years as well as CEO during the initial years. Pimentel was president of Seabourn and later became president and CEO of the combined Cunard and Seabourn. The two launched SeaDream in September 2001 and survived the post-9/11 marketplace to establish the line as a top-rated company on the lists of Conde Nast Traveler, Berlitz and Travel & Leisure. It is not yet known whether Pimentel retains his ownership stake in SeaDream.
