Cruise West has scheduled seven alumni sailings in 2009 on select Columbia & Snake River and Alaska itineraries. A Cruise West executive will accompany each cruise, hosting a cocktail party and offering anecdotes along the way. Quyana Club Members will receive exclusive savings, special gifts and more.
“We want to thank our loyal Quyana Members for their patronage by offering them something a little extra special,” said president and CEO Dietmar R. Wertanzl. “Quyana Members will save 10 percent [double the normal Quyana savings] in addition to other savings. And, with our new Ambassador Program, Quyana members will receive $100 credit per referral up to a maximum of $500.”
Guests can choose from the June 12, July 17 and Aug. 14 departures of the new seven-night Northwest Passage itinerary on the Columbia & Snake Rivers onboard the 96-guest Spirit of ’98. The cruise departs roundtrip from Portland and gives clients a chance to experience native culture, celebrated wines, fresh foods and history of the region. It includes visits to Pendleton, Oregon; Hells Canyon, Oregon; Walla Walla, Wash.; Longview, Wash.; and Mount St. Helens, Wash.
Cruise West is also celebrating the Alaska’s 50th anniversary of statehood with alumni cruises. Alaska alumni cruises include the May 21 departure of the 12-night Coastal Odyssey onboard the 120-guest Spirit of Oceanus, sailing from Anchorage, Alaska, to Vancouver, British Columbia. During this itinerary, clients can visit the village of Klemtu, home of the Kitasoo/Xaixais First Nation and the Misty Fjords. They can also experience Metlakatla on Annette Island, an area set aside on Annette Island for the exclusive use of the Tsimshian Indians and other Alaska natives. Stops at Little Norway in Petersburg, Alaska, at Tracy Arm and Frederick Sound, at Skagway, at Glacier Bay and at Sitka are also planned. The alumni cruises also include the June 19, July 3 and Aug. 8 departures of the eight-night Alaska’s Inside Passage cruise onboard the 138-guest Spirit of Yorktown, which is traveling between Juneau and Ketchikan.
Rates start from $3,399 per person, based on double occupancy, before savings are applied.
