Alaska Summer Fishing Packages

Feb 15, 2011
To kick off the New Year, Alaska’s Inside Passage Resorts (AIPR) is offering new and all-inclusive water-themed vacation packages for summer 2011. By booking early, travelers can grab hold of AIPR’s most advantageous deals and highly personalized service.

Waterfall Resort – Legendary Alaskan Fishing
Since the early 1980s, Waterfall Resort has been a hot spot for sport fishing. The annual return of fish to this Alaskan location has given Waterfall Resort a strong reputation for its Alaskan salmon and halibut fishing.

The resort’s summer package includes a roundtrip flight on a scenic float plane between Ketchikan and Waterfall Resort, cottage or lodge accommodations, daily housekeeping service, all meals and complimentary wine with dinner, guided fishing, all fishing equipment, weather gear, the maintenance of caught fish and more.

The fishing adventure lasts four days and three nights and is priced at $3,975 per person. It is available Jun. 15 through Aug. 15, and a $1,000 discount and bonus fishing time will be rewarded to those who book June 13-17.

El Capitan Lodge – An Anglers Paradise
El Capitan Lodge is remotely located on southeast Alaska’s Prince of Whales Island. With this package, guests can experience a relaxed atmosphere and an area billed as a “fisherman’s paradise.”

El Capitan’s three- or four-day package includes transportation from Ketchikan to the resort via seaplane, deluxe lodge accommodations, fully guided saltwater fishing, gourmet cuisine, rain and boot gear, vacuum packaging, caught fish maintenance and complimentary wine with dinner.

For three days of fishing, guests pay $3,195 per person and, for four days, guests pay $3,695 per person. The package is available from May 15 to Sept. 1. Rates for double occupancy or based on four guests per boat are available by request.

Midnight Sun – Yacht Charter
Trips with Midnight Sun Yacht are available for anywhere for travel periods between three and 28 days. The yacht normally operates between the ports of Juneau and Petersburg; Juneau and Sitka; and Juneau and Ketchikan. Other trip destinations can be scheduled upon request.

The trip includes hotel or airport transportation, select wines, beer and soft drinks, fishing gear and licenses and rain gear and boots. For a typical eight-day, seven-night Midnight Sun Charter Yacht experience, guests should expect to pay approximately $34,100 per person. Yacht trips are available May 15 though Sept. 1. A two-week special is available for individuals looking to book cabins.
