Amangani Resort Offers Winter Ski Package

Amangani Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo., is taking a Zen-like approach to skiing and snowboarding this upcoming winter. The luxury property, which is surrounded by the Teton Mountains, is offering a unique four-night Ski to Live package from March 3-7, 2011 that allows guests to combine Zen approaches and ski and snowboard techniques with the help of legendary skier and extreme sports enthusiast Kristen Ulmer.

Ulmer developed her Ski to Live program in 2003 as a way to apply the ancient eastern philosophy of Zen teachings to sports, as well as business and personal lives, by using Voice Dialogue, a Western psychological technique.

The Ski to Live program is designed for clients with intermediate to expert ski ability levels and focuses mainly on the belief that a positive mindset is critical to success, both on and off the slopes. The package includes accommodations for four nights in a Suite; three days of on-mountain Big Mind sport and life lessons with Ulmer; three daily meals; a three-day ski pass; a daily yoga class; complimentary airport and ski area transfers; Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski guides; up to seven hours a day of guided skiing in groups of three to seven people; and four evening exploratory talks and sessions. Rates for the Ski to Live package are priced from $3,600 based on single occupancy and from $4,800 based on double occupancy.

The Amangani Resort also has access to its own private Ski Lounge, which sits at the foot of the Teton Village Slopes, below the Jackson Hole Mountain resort’s Bridger Gondola. The lounge provides ski concierge services, complimentary snacks and convenient storage for ski equipment.

Avid ski and snowboard enthusiasts may also opt to join Amangani’s Ski Club, which begins on Nov. 28. Ski Club membership is available for guests who stay four nights or more; nightly rates vary depending on the dates. Ski Club access includes two adult ski passes for up to three days of skiing; daily continental breakfast; one complimentary roundtrip airport transfer; access to the Amangani Ski Lounge; and a complimentary Ski Kit. Nightly Suite rates with Ski Club membership from Nov. 28-Dec. 16 and from Jan.3-31, 2011 begin at $565 per room, per night.
