Amusement Parks Celebrate Halloween

Theme parks all around the country are gearing up for Halloween with scary extras for thrill-seekers looking to celebrate the October holiday. The following parks are among those offering special events for chills and thrills.

Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal City, Los Angeles, Calif.
Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights offers a variety of blood-curdling mazes with themes that include the Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the Walking Dead, Silent Hill and Alice Cooper.

Screams Park
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
In Dallas and Fort Worth, Screams Park is open through Oct. 28. Offering a family Halloween experience, guests can enjoy holiday food, games, activities, haunted houses and attractions.

Cedar Point
Sandusky, Ohio 
In Sandusky, visit Cedar Points Hallo-Weekends for a variety of haunted houses from through Oct. 28. Houses include Club Blood, Eden Musee, Eerie Estate and Eternity Infirmary, and numerous scare zones and shows will also take place.

Kings Island
Mason, Ohio
From mazes to shows and thrill rides, Kings Island Halloween Haunt is a terrifying Halloween treat in Mason, OH. Guests will walk through a gruesome slaughter house, tombstone terror-tory, Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror, Cut Throat Cove, Massacre Manor and more, through Oct. 28.

Coney Island, New York
Coney Island, New York’s Luna Park is transformed into a Halloween spectacular, featuring ghoulish characters around the park to spook guests, a spine-chilling maze and more. Park rides are also open during Nights of Horror for frightful fun.

Jackson, New Jersey
Six Flags Great Adventure celebrates the supernatural with Fright Fest from Oct. 22-28. Guests will be terrified by zombies, shows and spooky trails.

Tampa, Fla.
Through Oct. 27, Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream in Tampa, FL will host a superstition 3-D tent, a serial killer’s bloody playground, a haunted manor, a zombie land and more.

The House of Horror Amusement Park
Miami, Fla.
South Florida’s largest haunted house is in Miami, at House of Horror Amusement Park. The two-acre house is a test of nerves, featuring 30 horrifying rooms and frightening characters. This event runs through Oct. 31.
