This May, the Aquarium of the Pacific, located in Long Beach, Calif., will debut the new Ocean Exploration exhibit. The gallery will be located in the aquarium’s changing exhibit space, from May 24 until Feb. 1.
The Ocean Exploration exhibit will feature marine animals, educational displays, films and more, designed to give visitors a glimpse of the unexplored depths of the ocean and its many mysteries. Given that approximately 95 percent of the ocean remains unexplored, the aquarium hopes that the exhibit will inspire a new push to explore this part of our planet.
In order to take advantage of the new exhibit, as well as other ongoing and upcoming special events, visitors can stay at the aquarium for extended hours on Sundays from June 2 through Sept. 1. During these summer Sundays, the aquarium will offer late nights and special savings — opening hours will be extended to 8 p.m., and admission will be only $14.95 after 5 p.m.
Other seasonal events for the upcoming months can be found online.
