Country Music Heads to Sin City

Nashville descends on Las Vegas for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) 47th Annual Awards Show in Sin City.  From March 30 to April 2, live concerts and star-studded parties are planned across Las Vegas, making it the perfect weekend getaway for country music fans.

American Idol finalist Kelli Pickler will be performing on March 30 at the Veil Pavilion at the Silverton Hotel and Casino. Country great Darius Rucker will perform at Mandalay Bay March 31, and Music Legend Kenny Rogers headlines a bash at Primm Valley Resort March 31.

The Academy of Country Music is hosting two days of free, all-star concerts at Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas. New Artist of the Year nominees -- Hunter Hayes, Brantley Gilbert and Scotty McCreery -- take the Fremont Street stage March 30.  Also performing on the 30th is Vocal Duo of the Year Nominee Love as well as Theft and Luke Bryan. On the March 31, Jana Kramer, Craig Campbell, Vocal Group of the Year Nominee Eli Young Band, Laura Bell Bundy and Album of the Year Nominee and Video of the Year Nominee Eric Church rock the Fremont Street Stage. The free concerts kick-off at 7 p.m., nightly.

Visitors can also check out Blackberry Smoke, an American country band from Atlanta, Ga., at Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer at Excalibur Hotel and Casino on Saturday, March 31. Country favorites Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band will perform at Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que at Treasure Island March 30 and April 1. From March 29-April 2 at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar & Grill at Harrah's Las Vegas, food specials are the name of the game.

From March 30 to April 1, PBR Rock Bar & Grill inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will host special live performances by Austin Law Band and host the official Red Chapter Academy of Country Music Awards after party, immediately following the awards ceremony.

The first-ever, free, open-to-the-public country music lifestyle event created just for fans, the ACM Experience at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, will take place March 30 to April 1. The ACM Experience will include the ACM BBQ Throwdown, ACM Expo, the Ram Ride and Drive and more.

The main event of the weekend, the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Show will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 1 at 8 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network. In addition, the 2nd Annual ACM Fan Jam, hosted by Zac Brown Band, will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
