The Coeur d’Alene Fairgrounds will host the first Cowboy Ball on Friday, April 6. The event will feature music by the Kelly Hughes Band, with dance lessons, silent and live auctions, a best western-dressed contest and raffles. Dance lessons will be held between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. Western-style food, beer and peanuts will help add to the country-themed evening. Auction prizes range from one half of a pig to golf getaways at Coeur d'Alene Resort and private fishing trips. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is $20. The event is presented by the North Idaho Fair & Rodeo Foundation. Some of the event’s funds will support educational scholarships for the area’s youth.
