Honoring the beauty and vibrancy of nature’s blooming season, Crested Butte, Colo., invites visitors to its 23rd annual Wildflower Festival from July 6 to 12.
The six-day celebration, which highlights the colorful blanketing of floral bloom over the pristine Colorado landscape, is designed to promote wildflower preservation and appreciation. Artists, photographers, outdoors enthusiasts and adventurers will be able to enjoy the more than 200 events open for participation. Clients of all ages and activity preferences can take part in workshops and classes or explore the surroundings and wildflowers firsthand on guided expeditions.
Clients more interested in education can engage in hands-on learning by taking part in various photography, cooking, landscaping and crafting workshops and classes, or listen in on the free lectures and presentations on climate change and conservation.
For nature enthusiasts, the festival offers more than 50 guided hikes and walks through the area’s meadows and forests, including ones in which participants can learn to identify local birds, butterflies and flowers.
Special activities just for kids also make a visit to this festival a family affair. Children ages 6 and up can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, hikes, photography and more.
