CruiseWorld Show Comes to Seattle

Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld and Home Based Agent Show will come to Seattle June 18-20, held at the Washington State Convention Center. The travel industry event offers educational materials including speaker panels with leading cruise and leisure industry leaders, business tactics and strategies presented by travel professional colleagues and practical knowledge and techniques for business management and growth. Travel professionals will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of ship inspections, as well as tour the exhibit hall featuring a showcase of products and services from all aspects of the leisure marketplace.

Attendees of the convention will be eligible to participate in three cruise destination immersion sessions, with training for Hawaii, Alaska and Vancouver. On June 19, “Just Add Land: Making the Most of the Alaska Cruise Vacations” will feature first-hand insight from Alaskans, designed to help agents increase their product knowledge and confidence in selling Alaska land tours as a pre- and post-cruise add-on. Also on June 19, Hawaii tourism representatives will offer “Living in the Moment in the Hawaiian Islands,” presenting new offerings on the islands and unique activities, attractions and experiences. Tourism Vancouver and Tourism British Columbia will offer a session on Vancouver, Canada, on June 20, offering more options for enhancing Alaskan cruise vacations with sailings from Vancouver and pre- and post-cruise stays in the region.

Ship inspection opportunities sponsored by ARC will precede the live trade show and conference programming, beginning on June 16. Six ships will be available for inspection, and registered attendees may select two ships on a space available basis. Options include Golden Princess, Star Princess, Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Jewel and Holland America ms Oosterdam, as well as an opportunity to explore the new Oasis class upgrades to Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas. 

The show’s full agenda includes more than 50 training sessions, over 60 speakers and 200 exhibitors, as well as post-show fam trips. Registration is open now and space is limited.
