Written three decades ago, Armistad Maupin’s “Tales of the City” is the story of a Midwestern girl who moves to San Francisco to begin a new life. In May, Maupin’s famous story debuted in its new musical form, crafted by the Tony award-winning creators of “Avenue Q” and the musical minds behind the band “Scissor Sisters.”
The Fairmont San Francisco is the official hotel sponsor of the American Conservatory of Theater’s production of “Tales of the City” and, as part of their partnership, The Fairmont is offering two special packages to guests attending the show. Available through July 9, the Tales of the City package starts at $299 and includes accommodations for one night, breakfast for two in the Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar and overnight valet parking for one vehicle. The 28 Barbary Lane Tales of the City package features a 10th-floor, corner tower suite, customized with “Tales of the City” memorabilia and a 1970’s San Francisco ambience. This package starts at $869, and includes one night in the 28 Barbary Lane suite, a chef’s special amenity, breakfast for two in the Laurel Court Restaurant and overnight valet parking for one vehicle.
