The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is treating guests to its Fourth of July Freedom Fest, a four-day event with free concerts, fireworks, pool activities and traditional food with vacation packages benefitting military families from June 30 to July 3.
Each night of the festival will be marked by fireworks, patriotic salutes and unique live music. On Saturday, June 30, Super Diamond will perform Neil Diamond favorites. AbbaFab, a tribute to Abba; Paperback Writer, a Beatles throwback to the Ed Sullivan days; and Zowie Bowie, a duo from Scottsdale specializing in today's hits, will perform at the festival on July 1, July 2 and July 3, respectively.
Throughout the festival, the fifth hole of the TPS Scottsdale Stadium Course is transformed into Freedom Hill. Here, guests will be able to get an up-close view of Apache and Black Hawk helicopters while meeting the pilots.
Poolside activities include watermelon eating contests; red, white and blue frozen drinks; Uncle Sam on stilts; barbeques; dive-in movies; and more.
Room rates during the festival begin at $179 per night and include a daily $50 resort credit toward spa, dining, tennis and more.
