San Diego’s extremely popular Museum Month, which had nearly 24,000 participants in 2010, is back for February 2011. Throughout the month, residents and visitors alike will have the chance to visit some of San Diego’s best cultural attractions for significantly reduced rates.
Forty museums and historical sites will be offering half-price tickets for up to four guests with every San Diego Museum Month Pass. Passes are free and can be collected from any Macy’s department store in San Diego County, Temecula or El Centro.
Participating museums include the New Children’s Museum in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, the San Diego Botanical Garden and the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park, which is often referred to as the Smithsonian of the West.
