If you and your clients are fans of chilies or fine wine, New Mexico has upcoming festivals just for you.
Each year, in Hatch, N.M., the Hatch Chile Festival attracts more than 30,000 fans from around the world to the Hatch Airport Grounds, located about one mile west of Hatch. Admission is $5 per carload and runs Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30-31. The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. with a parade, live music, and contests.
Wine aficionados will appreciate the Ninth Annual Harvest Wine Festival, to be held from noon to 6 p.m. from Aug 30 through Sept. 1 at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Adult admission is $13 and admission is free to minors who are accompanied by an adult. The festival features grape stomping, wine education classes, arts, crafts and food vendors.
