Guests of Hotel Wailea Maui can dive into some exciting waters sports when they book one of the all-suite resort's two new packages.
“The packages were developed with our typical guests in mind,” said Hotel Wailea Maui general manager Markus Schale. “We attract energetic health-minded travelers who will find that these packages agree with their preference for the outdoors and active lifestyle. "
The resort's new Kiteboarding Adventure comes with a three-day kiteboarding camp (total of ten hours) with one of the island’s finest kiteboarding schools. No prior experience is required. All of the necessary equipment and gear is included. Along with the lessons, the five-night package comes with a one-hour massage and a 10 percent discount on the purchase of any new kiteboarding equipment. Rates start at $1,295 per person, based on double occupancy.
The Family Paddleboarding package lets clients try the latest craze in water sports, a reincarnation of an ancient Hawaiian form of surfing. The five-night deal comes with a three-hour family paddleboard day camp with private instruction, a family dinner at Matteo’s Pizzeria in Wailea and a visit to the Maui Ocean Center. Rates start at $995 per person. Kids 17 years and younger can share their parents’ room using existing bedding at no charge.
