More than 2,000 driving, flying and working machines will be on display at the 21st Annual Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, where a huge number of such machines will make up a riveting exhibit tailored to anyone who shares the love of motorized mechanical marvels. The Half Moon Bay Airport, located about 20 miles south of San Francisco, is hosting this annual technology show on May 1, 2011.
On display will be some of the world’s coolest cars, military aircrafts, tricked-out trucks and motorcycles, antique engines and tractors, and many more creative and innovative inventions. Special attractions for this year include high-flying freestyle motocross demos, an amphibious “watercar,” a “Jetson’s” inspired space-age car that actually flies, Unicycle drag racing and military aviation wonders such as the “Heavenly Body” — a historic B-25 Bomber from World War II. Activities available to guests include thrilling helicopter and plane rides, kinetic art, rolling sculptures, extreme toys and monster truck rides, among others. The wide variety of exhibits promise that everybody can find something that sparks their particular interests at this massive celebration of mechanical ingenuity, power and style.
Live music will set the tone of this event and food will be available. Kids are welcome, and can marvel at the cars of all shapes and sizes from the 20th and 21st centuries, along with the hundreds of aviation wonders, many of which will be doing fly-overs during the show.
Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $10 for those visitors ages 11-17 and ages 65 and over, and free for kids who are ages 10 and under. Tickets are available at the gate only and benefit the Coastside Adult Day Heath Center.
