Texas' largest Mardi Gras celebration will take place this February in Galveston, featuring headline performers Lee Brice and the rock group Tonic.
Tonic has earned six top singles and two Grammy nominations and will perform on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the kick-off weekend of Mardi Gras! Galveston. Country music artist Lee Brice, who released two chart-topping singles in 2012, will perform on Friday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. Both concerts will be held on the Budweiser Stage in downtown Galveston's Saengerfest Park.
Galveston's two-week Mardi Gras celebration begins Friday, Feb. 1 and ends Feb. 12. This year will mark the 102nd event and feature 38 concerts, 24 parades, 20 balcony parties and five masked balls. In addition, Mardi Gras! Galveston will feature "Electric Mardi Gras," during which attendees will enjoy continuous laser light shows and DJ performances.
Advance tickets for the celebratory event are available online for $10 each. Concert admissions are included in the general admission price for entering the Mardi Gras! Galveston entertainment district.
