Hawaiian recording artist Henry Kapono recently launched a regular gig at the Royal Kona Resort on Hawaii Island.
Every third Thursday from 5-7 p.m., the popular musician -- also known as The Wild Hawaiian -- brings his unique style to the resort’s Don the Beachcomber’s Mai Tai Bar.
Kapono has been recording since 1974 as a duo and solo act, winning numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, the Hawaiian equivalent of the Grammys. For the past three years he has been a featured performer at the Royal Kona’s Mai Tai Festival, drawing large crowds and rave reviews.
Kapono is also a talented songwriter, actor and author of an acclaimed children's book.
