Coastal Hotel Group announces the completion of the more than $7 million renovation of Hotel Fifty, Portland’s premier boutique hotel in the heart of downtown. Located conveniently next to the Morrison Street Bridge at 50 SW Morrison Street, where downtown meets the river, the totally new Hotel Fifty remained operational throughout the renovation and now features high-end and comfortable guestrooms, a contemporary exterior, enhanced amenities, and the new H50 bistro & bar. The completion was celebrated on October 16, 2008 with a 300-person party that also raised $2,660 for Special Olympics Oregon.

Interior designer Gibb Fischer of MNID Associates in Seattle implemented design materials and color schemes that accent the natural and contemporary environment surrounding Hotel Fifty. Fisher transformed the property with blended design elements to create an upscale atmosphere boasting the ultimate in style and comfort. A cool and relaxing color scheme of neutrals, modern tones and clean lines embellish each room with a crisp ambiance. Exterior renovations to Hotel Fifty revitalize the contemporary 1960s architecture with new glass awnings, new exterior paint color, and colorful LED lighting around the building. In addition, new landscape designs and a fountain are scheduled to be added.
