Located 56 miles east of Bellingham, Mt. Baker provides 1,000 acres of terrain, 38 marked trails, eight quad lifts and two handle tows. Rates start at $220 per night. The package is available through March 31, 2011, snow conditions permitting.

Canine-loving clients who book the Dog Days of Winter at Lakedale Resort get two nights in a real log cabin, a breakfast basket and maps to navigate the many trails around the island, including the 82-acre resort, Mount Finlayson, Young Hill and Lime Kiln State Park.
