Coeur d'Alene has been selected as the host city for this year's Antique and Classic Boat Society's Annual International Boat Show. The event will be held on September 19th and 20th at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Marina. Antique and Classic boats will line the Boardwalk for the public to enjoy.
Pre-event activities include "Lake Hopping" with nearly a week's worth of boating activities at Idaho's most scenic lakes and waterways. Full days of boating include viewing the northern part of Priest Lake surrounded by the beautiful Selkirk Mountains. An afternoon cruise on the lake is followed by dinner at Werner’s lake side cabin for a scrumptious BBQ and beach party.
Adventure travelers can enjoy a breathtaking jet board ride down the Snake River through Hells Canyon. Besides seeing gorgeous scenery, participants will navigate several class three and four rapids.
Other adventures include a tour of one of the most famous silver mining districts in the world, including a a view into an actual bordello from the past. A bike trip is also available, riding over one of the historic passenger railroad beds that has now been converted into a gorgeous bike trail. The trail winds through nine cavernous tunnels and over seven high trestles, past waterfalls and ridge top vistas. This is considered one of the most spectacular bike trails in the country.
