Last year, many fans of the Twilight series of books and movies made the pilgrimage to the Olympic National Park and Forest to see where the movies were filmed. In conjunction with the recent release of Eclipse, the latest film in the series, Kalaloch Lodge has expanded its Twilight Eclipse package through Oct. 30, 2010.
Starting at $202 per couple, the Twilight Eclipse package invites fans to stay in a double occupancy log cabin and sink their teeth into a special Twilight dessert. Clients also receive amenities for two, including a map of the nearby town of Forks --where some of the movie was filmed -- plus Twilight water bottles and Twilight trivia.
Throughout the year, guests can still book the original Twilight Package, which features a two-night stay with a Twilight dessert, water bottles and amenities.
The resort sits on the Olympic Peninsula, named Kalaloch or “land of the plenty” by the Quinault Indians. Rustic beaches and forests encourage visitors to do some fantasy sightseeing in the Pacific Northwest. While there, clients can visit La Push, home of Jacob, Bella’s best friend in the Twilight series. They can hike along trails where the werewolves roamed and battled in the movie, and stroll beaches where Bella spent time reflecting and exploring tide pools. Other nearby filming sites include Forks High School, Forks Community Hospital, and the Swan and Cullen residences.
