On June 1, Montana’s The Resort at Paws Up will open Cliffside Camp, its newest and most extravagant “glamping” (glamorous camping) site to date. Situated atop a cliff overlooking the Blackfoot River, the camp will feature six safari-style tented accommodations ranging from 605 to 977 square feet. Four will be two-bedroom Family Suites — one room containing a king-size bed, the other two twins — and two will be Honeymoon Tents,” each with a king-size bed and a copper tub at its foot. Among these tents’ other amenities will be en-suite bathrooms with double sinks, heated slate floors and glass-enclosed showers; decks; air-conditioning; and electricity.
In addition to these accommodations, guests will be able to dine in a private pavilion, where their meals will be prepared by a private camp chef. A butler will assist them in planning their daily itineraries, which might include mountain biking (bicycles are complimentary loans from the resort) and free horse-drawn wagon rides for stargazing, which run Monday to Friday at 9 p.m.
The resort also sports a game room as well as a host of no-tech family games, including tetherball, football and horseshoes.
Rates for Cliffside Camp begin at $1,475 per night (based on two adults) and include three meals daily.
