Moab Adventure Center, located in Moab, Utah, is the largest single tour provider in the region — and this distinction has not gone unrecognized. The center recently received its seventh consecutive Best of State award for Adventure Travel from the state of Utah. The Best of State award is one of the top awards programs created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Utah.
This year, Moab Adventure Center is offering hot air balloon excursions for the first time ever. Ballooning excursions can be combined with other popular experiences including river rafting, canyoneering, and mountain biking.
As a special 2010 season incentive, the center is offering a 10 percent savings when combining three or more adventures. Its programs are available from March through October.
“Shorter experiences allow people to be fairly spontaneous about planning an adventure in Moab. A quick weekend getaway can be planned a few weeks out,” said Brandon Lake, co-founder of Moab Adventure Center.
The Adventure Center began in 2004 when Lake recognized that potential travelers needed a convenient location for adventure vacationing in the Moab area. The total visitors to the center have grown from 8,000 in 2006 to an anticipated 30,000 in 2010, according to the Moab Adventure Center.
“The growth over the past several years is due in large part to the convenience and excellent customer experience we provide. We make it easy to plan a simple two-hour off-road safari or an entire week of adventure, all with the assurance that you’ll have the time of your life,” said Lake.
