Montana Scenic Drives in Brochure

Jan 08, 2013

Montana's picturesque backdrop lands seven mentions in the popular, and free, "Drive the Top 10 Scenic Drives" brochure. Four spots go to drives that are part of the northern Rockies and three to trails which run through Montana.

The featured drives include the Beartooth All-American Road, Montana Scenic Loop, Northwest Passage Scenic Byway and the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park Loop. Three honored trails include the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail and the David Thompson Historic Route.

A complete 18-panel map of the top 10 drives can be downloaded online along with maps of individual drives and trails and itineraries. Comprehensive information about transportation and crossing the Canadian border are also detailed on the website.

Arranged by Drive the Top 10, a public nonprofit collaborative effort between state, federal, tribal and local partners in five U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, the brochures have recently been reprinted. These four-color brochures provide a fold-out map highlighting the 10 National Scenic Byways and four historic trails in the northern Rockies.
