Starting this fall, the Montana Office of Tourism has kicked off a statewide planning process for strategic tourism development for 2013-2017. The eight- to nine-month process will generate a blueprint that will guide the state’s tourism and recreation partners in their marketing and product development toward the creation of social and economic benefits for Montana.
To this end, the Montana Office of Tourism selected Julie and Jim Cerenzia, principals with Open Window Consulting, LLC, to facilitate the development of the 2013-2017 Montana Tourism & Recreation Strategic Plan. Open Window was one of eight vendors that submitted proposals to the Montana Office of Tourism.
The company plans to work with key tourism and recreation stakeholders to develop the statewide plan, which will begin to be developed this fall and is expected to be completed in spring 2013. Updates on the plan will be released as available, and opportunities to be involved in the process will also be announced.
