Voted one of the best events in New Mexico, Mardi Gras in the Mountains offers a fun way to celebrate without the crowds of New Orleans.
The six-day event takes place from Feb. 16-21 and includes a variety of colorful activities, such as the burning of the Wild Tchoupitoula, parades, masquerade balls, Cajun music and crawfish boils. Deanna Sauceda from KRQE News 13 will once again be presiding over this year’s events as the grand marshal.
