New Mexico’s Dancing Eagle Casino Gets New Wings

Dec 08, 2009

The Laguna Development Corporation recently celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated Dancing Eagle Casino in Casa Blanca, N.M., just west of Albuquerque, on Dec. 10.

In celebration of the grand opening, special food offers, prizes and free play to guests will continue throughout the month of December. The $100,000 Everybody’s a Winner Giveaway, for example, gives guests a free pull on a giant slot machine once every day for guaranteed prizes, including free play, free gas, food discounts and logo items and a shot at the $100,000 grand prize.

Grand opening entertainment includes Orale and Native Roots, performing in the new open-air grill and lounge, Cafe 108. The new lounge will include 10 tables and bar seating for 30 people, a large dance floor, a state-of-the-art sound system and a large projection screen.

“Everything is great at Exit 108 — from top to bottom, every where you look you will see something new,” said Jeff Inman, casino manager. “The additions we made will make Dancing Eagle Casino the newest and most entertaining casino serving the Cibola County and Gallup markets. While the facade of the casino is all new, one thing that won’t change is our personality.”

The renovated facility includes a new casino floor, players’ club and cashier station, new carpet, paint and tiles. The project also features new exterior walkways, a parking lot and marquee sign. The reconfigured casino floor now features space for 100 new slots; and the casino floor now offers wider aisles and walkways.

Dancing Eagle Casino first opened in 2000 at Exit 108 off I-40, just west of Albuquerque. It is owned and operated by Laguna Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Pueblo of Laguna. Casino hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays through Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays.
