The Allison, Oregon wine country's first luxury inn and spa, has been accepted as a member of Preferred Boutique Hotels. Slated to open in August 2009, the Allison will be the first Preferred Boutique Hotel in Oregon.
"We are proud that the Allison has been accepted to join the industry's most exclusive collection of small, distinct and highly personal luxury properties around the world," said Pierre Zreik, general manager of the Allison. "The Allison will become the natural hub for Oregon wine tourism. The property provides a level of service and luxury lodging befitting Oregon's world class vineyards." Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country is currently home to nearly 300 wineries and is widely recognized for producing America's most prized Pinot Noir.
The Allison Inn and Spa is located 45 minutes southwest of Portland, Oregon in the Willamette Valley town of Newberg. Each of the Allison's 85 deluxe guest rooms and suites includes a terrace or balcony, a fireplace and original artwork. The Allison features a 15,000-square- foot spa with 12 treatment rooms and a private suite to accommodate small parties.
Meeting space totals 12,000 square feet, with all rooms featuring sweeping views of the countryside and outdoor terraces. The largest space -- The Coppergold Ballroom measuring 4,500 square feet -- accommodates 200 guests. The 85-seat signature restaurant and bar, Jory, will have a private dining room for ten guests and an eight- person chef's table in the open kitchen. Food and wine enthusiasts will appreciate the eatery's showcasing of local ingredients, wines, microbrews and craft spirits.
