On May 16, Qantas Airways will launch new nonstop service to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) from Sydney, Australia. Qantas will offer four return flights each week (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) via Boeing 747 aircraft.
“This represents an excellent opportunity to travel to Australia,” said Wally Mariani, Qantas senior executive vice president for the Americas. “The Dallas/Fort Worth nonstop service to Australia, which will offer convenient connections to an expanded range of American Airlines codeshare services, give travelers in many U.S. cities new one-stop access to Australia.”
Select codeshare connecting flights on American Airlines are available for the following cities:
Houston
Memphis, Tenn.
New Orleans
Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte, N.C.
Orlando, Fla.
Direct Sydney-San Francisco (SFO) services will be discontinued on May 14; however, SFO will remain part of the Qantas network as a codeshare destination.
Features for trans-Pacific international economy passengers departing on U.S. mainland flights include personal, in-flight entertainment systems with more than 400 on-demand videos and program options, an amenity pack and enhanced food and bar service including a choice of menu selections.
