A new travel show on the Discovery channel’s TLC network will showcase the wilds of Alaska. “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” will be an eight-part documentary series about the former Alaska governor’s home state. The show is produced by Emmy award-winner Mark Burnett whose claim to fame is shows such as Survivor and Apprentice.
“Our family enjoys Discovery’s networks,” said Palin in a statement released by TLC. “I look forward to working with [Burnett] to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans.”
According to Discovery Communications chief operating officer, Peter Liguiori, the series will portray the beauty of Alaska as told by Palin.
“Discovery Communications is so excited to help Sarah Palin tell the story of Alaska and to have a great documentary filmmaker like Mark Burnett helping to reveal Alaska’s powerful beauty as it has never been filmed, and as told by one of the state’s proudest daughters,” said Liguori.
