Savor the San Juans: A Medley of Food, Art & Culture

San Juan Vineyards
October signals the start of a new, annual month-long movable feast for the senses in Washington state's San Juan Islands. With the theme of “Savor the San Juans," the celebration features special events, dining-out deals, winemaker dinners, cooking classes, art gallery happenings, theater performances and presentations. Clients can enjoy in a medley of culinary and cultural choices on the islands of Lopez, Orcas and San Juan, along with lodging specials and packages.

To date, “Savor the San Juans” will feature the following highlights:

Oct. 1-15  Island Museum of Art presents a John Heric sculpture exhibit, San Juan Island

Oct. 3  Joy of Soy: cooking class with Cynthia Burke, San Juan Public Library

Restaurants participating in a “3 Courses/$30” promotion include the Bay Café and Lopez Islander Bay Resort on Lopez Island; Doe Bay Café and Rosario Resort and Spa on Orcas Island; and Backdoor Kitchen, Coho Restaurant (also presenting winemakers dinners Oct. 3, 11 and 17), Duck Soup Inn, Steps Wine Bar and Café, The Place Bar and Grill and Vinny’s Ristorante on San Juan Island.
