Skamania Lodge Celebrates 15 Years

Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort and top meeting destination managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, celebrates 15 years in the Columbia River Gorge this year.

Completed in 1993, Skamania Lodge was built in partnership with The Columbia River Gorge Commission, The USDA Forest Service, Skamania County and Grayco Resources, Inc. to help drive expansion in the county's tourism-oriented retail and service sectors.

Skamania Lodge led the City of Stevensons transition from a timber dependent economy to an ever expanding recreational and tourism center. Since the opening of the Lodge, Skamania County has increased its travel spending by 11.3 percent the highest percentage change in Washington State.
