Spas in Palm Springs Showcased

The Girlfriend Factor has announced the second annual Greater Palm Springs Spa & Salon Month, showcasing the area’s wellness facilities from Oct. 1-31. The month-long event will kick off on Sept. 27 with a launch party and vendor exhibition at The Spa at Desert Springs in Palm Desert, from 6-8 p.m.

Participating partners will create and/or discount special treatments, services and group packages for both residents and visitors, with confirmed spas and salons including The Spa at Desert Springs, Feel Good Spa at Ace Hotel & Swim Club and Agua Serena Spa at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Beauty- and health-related companies as well as restaurants will also join in presenting Spa & Salon Month offerings. Participating properties also add a flat $100 donation to their participation fee so that the event doubles as a fundraising vehicle for The Girlfriend Factor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women through educational grants.

“Spa getaways, relaxing weekends and exceptional cuisine are visitor draws to our beautiful valley,” said Spa & Salon Month chair Gayle Moore. “Our goal is to increase awareness and visitation to spas and related wellness businesses across our Greater Palm Springs oasis while benefitting women in our community through The Girlfriend Factor educational grant program.”
