Taos Ski Valley, N.M., has announced new summer activities perfect for travelers of all kinds.
Active travelers can take advantage of the area's mountain bike offerings, including the all-new gravity fed flow trail accessed by chairlift. Over 3.6 miles of mountain bike specific trails include jumps, berms, wall rides and more. Bike rentals are available in the village resort.
Summer events in Taos Ski Village include a July 4th weekend celebration in the village resort, featuring a parade, live bands and the 8th annual 10K Up and Over Trail Run. For music lovers, Michael Hearne's Big Barn Dance will take place Sept. 5-7, offering a music festival full of traditional country, Americana and folk.
Taos Ski Valley also offers a diverse offering of summer schools and camps. Programs include the German summer school, the Jillana School for ballet, FitTaos summer camps for youth, Taos School of Music, the Taos Opera Institute and photography and art camps.
