Sun Valley/Ketchum, a ski destination known for its short lift lines and long runs, has new developments for the 2008/2009 winter season.
In August 2008, the Sun Valley Resort unveiled its new 58,756 square foot golf clubhouse and Nordic Center, and in winter 2008-2009 the club will unleash Nordic ski in/ski out breakfast, lunch and cocktail menus, which will allow dining throughout the day.
Also during the 2008-2009 season, guests will be able to purchase 20-day and 30-day Alpine pass options. For just $40 a day, guests will enjoy unlimited skiing. Passes are available online at or by calling (208) 622-6136.
In addition, Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD), is introducing new Nordic pass options, including a deal where children under 13 can ski for free on all BCRD trails, a day pass to ski Quigley Canyon in Hailey for $10 per person, and a day pass for dogs at just $5 per day.
