In March, Sun Valley, Idaho launched the inaugural Sun Valley Film Festival, designed to celebrate the area’s Hollywood heritage while bringing it into the 21st century. The successful festival will return this year, taking place March 14-17.
In 2013, the Sun Valley Film Festival will feature cutting-edge independent films, premiers, children’s programming, previews of new television premiers from National Geographic and others, a closing ceremony with special musical guests and more. It will also include a variety of unique awards, such as the One in a Million Award for best film produced for under one million dollars, and the Zions Bank Gem State Award, which is given to an Idaho filmmaker whose film reflects the beauty and diversity of Idaho
