Over the past three years, Colorado’s Snowmass Village — located approximately nine miles from Aspen — has undergone a number of transforming developments worth a grand total of $1 billion. Destination renovations include new hotels and accommodations, ski area improvements and amenities, new meeting spaces and more to elevate the guest experience.
Not your typical scenic mountain town, the destination includes lodging accommodations for clients traveling for both business and leisure. The new Viceroy Snowmass resort offers travelers’ 173 rooms and 8,000 square feet of meeting space, four new restaurants and five retailers. In addition, the Silvertree Hotel and Conference center in Snowmass — known for its flexible and functional meeting spaces — is currently in the process of a multiphase renovation to be completed in 2011. Once completed, the hotel and conference center will boast a contemporary appeal to both meeting planners and leisure guests, alike.
The overall transformation of Snowmass also boasts an on-mountain investment of more than $50 million including the new Village Express six-pack lift, Sky Cab Gondola, the Elk Camp Gondola, a new terrain park, the Elk Camp Meadows learning area, the Snowmass Gondola Ticket Office and Ski & Snowboard Schools private lesson lounge, 25 miles of newly developed trails for mountain bikers and hikers to enjoy and more.
