The Tropicana Las Vegas will unveil the first of its newly designed hotel rooms and luxury suites in the property’s 569-room Paradise Tower this month. The new rooms are part of a $165 million transformation property overhaul giving the property a South Beach, Fla., vibe, which will be at the heart of the new Tropicana Las Vegas. The luxury suites are set to debut on May 17.
This is the first major redesign at the Tropicana Las Vegas since 1985. The property will offer the newest hotel rooms in the city in the mid-tier price range. The Tropicana Las Vegas now offers a bright, fresh, comfortable and casual setting accented by soft-colored furnishings. In lieu of heavy drapery, white plantation shutters let in natural light, and the rooms’ original white decorative ceilings and canvas artwork commissioned from famed artist Aldo Luongo bring a residential quality to the space.
“The objective is to create a place that has an ambiance and a glow that is irresistible to the majority of Las Vegas visitors,” said Tom McCartney, president of Tropicana Las Vegas. “In addition to changing and improving everything in our guests’ physical environment, we also plan to exceed our guests’ expectations in both service and amenities.”
The spacious rooms will feature a king or two queen-size pillow-top beds, 42-inch flat-panel televisions, desks or chaise lounges, an iHome clock radio with universal docking stations, wireless Internet, Kohler sink features and curved shower rods. Rooms will range from 396 to 441 square feet.
The Premier Suites offer a Miami-inspired design that was created to evoke a feeling of nature and which bring a sense of the tropics indoors.
Suites are appointed with custom-designed furniture, carpeting, wood flooring, plantation shutters, roman shades and lighting which bring a sense of warmth and depth to the rooms.
The rooms are the first public-facing example of the $165 million transformation that is taking place at Tropicana Las Vegas, including the redesign of the 50,000-square-foot casino and the world-famous, four-acre tropical pool. Additionally, the resort will feature several new restaurants, bars and lounges, a full-service spa, retail offerings, a new poker room, entertainment options, a conference center and a nightclub.
