In an effort to rev up bookings to Hawaii’s Big Island, United Vacations has partnered with the Hilton Waikoloa Village for a three-month incentive that can earn extra cash for agents and bonus miles for their clients. For every five-night Hilton Waikoloa Village booking, agents receive one entry into a monthly drawing for one of three $250 Visa gift cards. At the end of the promotion, United will award a $500 and $250 card to the two agents with the greatest increase in business compared to last year. Bookings must be purchased with a Visa card by June 30 for travel through Aug. 31. In addition, when agents book using promotion code HILTONVISA, clients receive 2,000 Mileage Plus bonus miles per adult.

Changing Hands
Following the sudden closure of Marc Resorts, Castle Resorts & Hotels has assumed management of four of the company’s former properties: Molokai Shores on Molokai, and Pali Ke Kua, Puu Poa and Hale Moi Cottages on Kauai.
“The unexpected closure of Marc Resorts was very unfortunate, and our initial concern was for the employees and guests,” said Castle president Alan Mattson. “We were able to retain all property employees, service existing hotel guests and accommodate arriving guests.”
