More Mickey
The Disneyland Hotel recently completed a $50 million property
enhancement project.
The upgrade included a $15,000 redecoration in Disney decor for
each of the 990 guest rooms. The new rooms feature Tinker Bell
wallpaper, images of Mickey Mouse, stars and moons from “Fantasia”
and mirrors and Sneezy characters from “Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs.”
Other room enhancements include standard beds with new
headboards picturing Sleeping Beauty Castle, bedspreads depicting
12 classic attractions from the theme park’s opening day in 1955
and new guest room armoires commemorating Disneyland park’s
inaugural year.
The hotel has 62 suites and offers concierge-level guest rooms
with upgraded amenities.

Orange County Opening
Coming to Orange County in January is the Hyatt Regency
Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, situated on an elevated parcel
of land adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway.
The 519-room property will feature two restaurants, a retail
shopping plaza, more than 50,000 square feet of meeting space and
the Pacific Waters Spa.

Changing Seasons
On the heels of a three-year, $15 million expansion and
enhancement program, the Four Seasons Hotel Newport Beach is
offering a package with $600 in savings.
The Rediscover package includes accommodations; two
complimentary rounds of golf at the oceanfront, 36-hole Pelican
Hill Golf Club, or a choice of two complimentary spa treatments and
a combination of golf and spa; valet parking; continental
breakfast; and a $25 shopping certificate at nearby Fashion
Island.
Property upgrades include guest room refurbishments, the
redesign of Pavilion restaurant (Zagat’s No. 1 in the survey for
food, decor and service), a new hair and nail salon, the new Grill
at the golf club and expansions of the meeting facilities, the
health and aerobic center and the pool area. The package is priced
from $450 per night through December.

Surf’s Up
For those who love to be pampered, the new Aquaterra Spa at the
Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, offers a variety of facial
and body treatments.
Treatments are based on four essences: ocean (thalassotherapy),
earth (warm mud and clay detoxifying treatments), botanicals
(aromatherapy utilizing local flora) and art (practitioners of
physical and healing arts).
They include the seaweed revitalizer, reflexology, a maternity
