Whitefish Mountain Resort will open for the summer on Saturday, June 16, introducing a new zipline, bike trails and two new activities. Starting opening day, the mountain will be open daily through Labor Day, then Friday through Sunday until Sept. 30.
“We are excited to enhance the summer experience here at Whitefish Mountain Resort with a new zipline, two new family-friendly activities and new downhill bike trails,” said Whitefish Mountain Resort president Dan Graves. “As we continue to invest in our summer activities we hope to welcome families to stay and play and enjoy all that the resort and the area have to offer.”
The new offerings will include an extension of Montana’s longest zipline tour, adding 1,900 feet to both the 7-Zip Tour and the 5-Zip Tour. A new Aerial Adventure Park is set to open in August, featuring five courses of differing skill levels. Each course consists of elements including suspended bridges, cable walkways, rolling elements, nets, ladders, trapezes and other obstacles. In addition, the resort will add Spidermonkey Mountain for younger visitors, a two-story tower for kids to climb and descend by slide.
Finally, Whitefish Mountain will build two new downhill mountain bike trails expected to open in late summer or early fall. The trails will provide over 2,000 feet of vertical drop, adding 4.6 miles of mountain biking to Big Mountain.
