Wyoming invites visitors to spend a weekend enjoying the various offerings at Hot Springs State Park this winter, which was built around the world’s largest single mineral hot spring.
To enjoy the central attraction, guests can take a dip in the 104-degree natural spring waters at the free State Bath House while snowflakes melt in the steam overhead. The park also features two other year-round swimming plunges that offer mineral water swimming and other forms of recreation. Additional natural wonders of the park include witnessing the state’s central herd of bison roaming in the snow, observing the Bighorn River and mineral terrace from the famous Swinging Bride and strolling along the winding wooden boardwalks to see incredible geologic formations. Guests can even get a glimpse of ancient history at the Legend Rock State Petroglyph Site. Plenty of other activities can be found in the park, plus a variety of dining and lodging options in nearby Thermopolis.
