After 24 months of refurbishment, Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Bel Air is reopening with a new restaurant, Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air. As the name implies, the famous chef will be heading all of the hotel’s culinary services with his restaurant group, the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group. This includes the restaurant and bar, room service, catering and events and the garden terrace of the hotel.
With its refurbishment, Hotel Bel Air says it is committed to providing guests with outstanding dining experiences and more dining options within the hotel. The cuisine under Puck’s supervision focuses on modern California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences, a direct reflection of Puck’s signature style.
“It is incredibly exciting to once again work with Hotel Bel-Air and to be a part of its extraordinary restoration,” said Puck.
Rockwell group is responsible for the restoration of the hotel’s dining areas, including the grand ballroom and executive boardroom. The redesign features an extended outdoor bar with “garden niches”; refreshed wood paneling and a grand piano inside; a separate bar on the terrace; and a freshly updated dining room and lobby.
The hotel updates also include 12 new canyon-view rooms designed by Alexandra Champalimaud and a 12,000-square-foot Spanish mission-style structure, featuring a new bell tower, fitness studio and three loft guestrooms.
The Hotel Bel Air reopens this fall with a total of 103 guestrooms. Rates start at $565.
