Visitors can now explore Pacific Northwest forests from on high at Tree to Tree Adventure Park in Gaston. Located one hour toward the Oregon Coast from Portland, the family-friendly outfitter opened its platforms and zip lines in June 2010.
The park and its certified guides welcome explorers of all ages and skill levels to test their agility on a variety of courses featuring zip lines, tunnels, tightropes, swings and more, all suspended amidst Douglas Fir trees.
Clients can conquer four courses, ranging from beginner (which still offers quite a challenge) to the Double Diamond extreme route, complete with a Tarzan rope that swings daring climbers into a manmade cobweb.
Along with the individual courses, Tree to Tree offers a children's course and a corporate challenge course for groups and team-building events.
Tree to Tree Adventure Park is located near Hagg Lake. It's open daily from mid-March through mid-November. Reservations are recommended. Admission is $39 per adult for a full course ($30 for a half course) and $25 for children (kids' course only).
