Virtuoso revealed its top cruise lines for 2024 at the 36th annual Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas, an event that brought together more than 4,700 luxury travel professionals from 97 countries.

This year's awards introduced two new categories: Best Small Ship Cruise Line and Cruise Ambassador. The winners were announced at the exclusive "Cruise Night Out" event on August 13.

Melinda Gregor of Gregor and Lewis Bespoke Travel was named the inaugural Cruise Ambassador, recognized for her significant impact on Virtuoso cruise sales and innovation.

In the cruise line categories, Aqua Expeditions won Best Small Ship Cruise Line (350 passengers or less). Silversea Cruises took the title of Best Ocean Cruise Line, and AmaWaterways was crowned Best River Cruise Line. Quark Expeditions secured the win for Best Expedition Cruise Line.

The winners were selected through a combination of Virtuoso advisor nominations and votes. The Cruise Ambassador awardee was chosen by Virtuoso leadership.

"As the cruise category expands in market size and consumer demand, competition is fiercer than ever," read a Virtuoso press release. "This year's winners share a commitment to excellence, innovation, support of the travel advisor community, client satisfaction and, of course, unforgettable travel experiences in some of the world's most extraordinary destinations."
