New Zealand Is Offering Virtual Fam Trips With the Chance to Win an In-Person Visit
Travel advisors can attend New Zealand’s “Space Walks” virtual fam trips for a look at some of the country’s unique landscapes and tourism offerings.

In honor of the otherworldly landscapes that typically draw millions of visitors to New Zealand each year, the country is going on a space mission — but it’s not the kind of space that immediately comes to mind.

To help travel advisors discover the unique spaces and places that will be on clients’ must-visit lists, the 100% Pure New Zealand Marketing Hub — a resource that launched late last year — is hosting a series of virtual fam trips, or “Space Walks.” Designed to be equal parts inspirational and educational, the Space Walks allow advisors to “follow” a knowledgeable and passionate tour operator as they explore the best of what New Zealand has to offer. The virtual trips will showcase destinations including Hokianga, Auckland, Rotorua, Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Akaroa, Wanaka and Doubtful Sound.

As part of the Space Mission: New Zealand campaign, advisors who attend one of these virtual fams will have the chance to win a place on the first in-person fam trip to New Zealand after borders reopen. Clients can also jump in on the fun by signing up for the #SaveYourSpaceNZ newsletter and entering the campaign sweepstakes to win a trip to the land of the Kiwis.

Since Space Mission: New Zealand is all about getting people excited for a future trip to the country, advisors can head to the 100% Pure New Zealand Marketing Hub to find free, customizable marketing tools and resources to start planning their clients’ trips.

The first of New Zealand’s Space Walks fam trips took place on May 12, covering Hokianga and Auckland. Additional virtual sessions will be hosted on May 23, as well as June 9 and 23. Advisors who missed the first session are also able to watch the recording.
